Just got a batch of hand-made grass paper from Vietnam, I eagerly laid it out on my desk, drawing inspiration from the brushwork of the esteemed calligrapher Wang Duo. As my brush danced across the paper, a wave of refreshment and tranquility washed over me! Wang Duo's calligraphy exudes an air of power and vitality, seamlessly blending grace and exuberance. His masterful strokes embody the essence of qi, a dynamic energy that flows indulgently through the characters. No wonder Wu Changshuo, a renowned calligrapher himself, declared Wang Duo's work to be the best (the first person) in the past five hundred years.
新得几卷越南制草编纸，参照案头王觉斯之笔意，信手挥来，顿时感到神清气爽！觉斯笔力能扛鼎，纵逸磅礴气象深。难怪海派大师吴昌硕称其书法为“五百年来第一人”，诚不欺也。
